Known for her patience, knowledge, and kind demeanor, Mel ensures that every patient feels comfortable and cared for from start to finish. Her attention to detail and calm professionalism help support smooth, efficient visits for everyone.
Outside the office, Mel is pursuing her goal of becoming a doctor while enjoying time with her family, exploring Maine, and relaxing with a good book. Her dedication to lifelong learning and compassionate care make her an exceptional member of our High Tide Dental family.
Christine- Dental Assistant
Christine joined High Tide Dental in 2025 and has quickly become a valued and cheerful part of our team. Before transitioning to dentistry, she worked as a nurse assistant at Maine Medical Center, where she developed her strong patient care skills and compassionate approach. Drawn to the dental field for its hands-on care and the opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients, Christine brings a calm, kind, and personable presence to every appointment.
Originally from California, Christine also spent several years living in Hawaii before settling in Maine. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time outdoors, soaking up the sunshine whenever she can, and sharing laughs with friends and family. Patients appreciate her caring nature, positive attitude, and the thoughtful way she makes every visit feel comfortable and welcoming.
Kristen- Office Manager
Kristen brings nearly 15 years of experience in the dental field and has been an integral part of High Tide Dental for the past decade. Before stepping into dentistry, she worked as a registered nurse, caring for patients in a clinical setting. Combining her background in nursing with her passion for patient relationships, Kristen transitioned into dental care and hasn’t looked back. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Villanova University and a certificate in Dental Administration from James Madison University.
As High Tide Dental’s office manager, Kristen enjoys every aspect of the practice—especially getting to know patients and their families. You’ll often find her at the front desk greeting patients with a warm smile, though she occasionally steps in to assist Dr. Homicz when needed. Outside the office, Kristen loves cheering on her children at their sporting events, volunteering in her youngest’s classroom, and taking walks with her dog, Jack-a-doodle.
